Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) (formerly Food Stamps)

Benefits to help low-income persons and families purchase food. Monthly benefits are based on family size, income and shelter costs.


Health Care Coverage

Help pay for medical costs for persons who qualify for health care coverages.


Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

Helps assist with the heating cost. The program is available October through May each year. Seasonal benefits are based on household size, income, assets, housing type, housing size and fuel type.


Child Care Assistance (CCA)

Helps low-income families meet their child care costs. Most families are responsible for paying a share of the cost. Family's cost is based on their countable income and family size.


Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)

This program is a safety net to help promote self-sufficiency. Most families are required to work with Child Support Enforcement and Job Opportunities and Basic Skills (JOBS).


Basic Care Assistance


Is for someone who lives in a licensed basic care facility and qualifies for Medicaid.
